Physical Description

The II Class consists of a five armed cross with ball finials, projecting multiple rays in each arm. The obverse bears a partially enameled Chilean coat of arms. The cross is suspended by a laurel grade in the same metal.

History

The Military Merit Star is awarded to recognize both Chilean and foreign military personnel for outstanding long services rendered to any of the branches of the Chilean Armed forces.

II Class is awarded to individuals who have contributed to 20 years of service.
