Physical Description

The Service Medal of the Ministry of National Defense consists of an eight-pointed star with multirayed arms. The obverse centre is an enameled blue and red medallion bearing the Chilean coat of arms.

History

The Service Medal of the Ministry of National Defense is awarded by the Ministry of Defense to those civilians, Chileans or foreigners, who has worked meritoriously in the highest positions of this Ministry.
