History

The Medal for Argentina-Chile Treaty (Medalla por el Acuerdo Argentina-Chile de 1902) was established in 1902 to reward Chilean diplomats and politicians who negotiated the agreement between Argentina and Chile where they established the definitive borders between these countries.

The medal was authorized in Gold and Silver; however, it is not clear if the composition denoted the rank of the recipient.
