Medal for the Squadron of the "Fragata Monteagudo" (Medalla por la Tripulacion de la Fragata Monteagudo) was the first military medal awarded in Chile for the War of Confederation (1836-1839). It was awarded to those sailors who took control of the unused Peruvian warship "Monteaguado" in 1836.
