History


The Juncal Medal (Medalla de Juncal) was established in Argentina in 1827, in recognition of the troops that defended the city of Juncal at the border of Aregentina y Uruguay. The city was attacked by Spanish royalist forces which were expelled by the revolutionary armies.

It is not clear how many grades of this Medal were approved.
