History

The Medal for Those Who Restored the Law (Medalla a los Restauradores de las Leyes) was authorized by General Juan Manuel Rosas in recognition of the troops who fought in the Colorado's Division in 1820 under his command.

The composition of the Medal denotes the rank of the recipient; the Silver Medal was awarded to Chiefs and Officer, and the Brass Medal was for enlisted men.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "To those who Restores the Law in 1820," and reverse inscription that can be translated to "Long Live to the Federation, Province of Buenos Aires."
