History


The Cuchacucha Medal (Medalla de Cuchacucha) was established in Argentina in 1814. in recognition of the troops who defended the city of Cuchacucha, Chile from a Spanish royalist attack.

It is not clear if the Medal was struck with metals.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "The Fatherland to the Brave Volunteers of Cuchacucha, Chile Year 1814."
