History


The Rio Salado Medal (Medalla de Rio Salado) was authorized by the government of Argentina in 1856. It was awarded in recognition of the members of the expedition lead by General Taboada in Rio Salado in 1856.

It is not clear if the composition of the Medal denotes the rank of the recipient.

This Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "Argentinian Confederation.”
