History


The Imperial and Military Order of St Faustin (l’Ordre Impérial et Militaire de Saint-Faustin) was founded by Emperor Faustin I of Haiti on September 21, 1849. It was conferred in recognition of remarkable military and naval acts of courage, patriotism, and merit rendered to the empire.

The order consisted of Grand Cross. conferred exclusively on princes and dukes, Commander, and Knight.

This Order was abolished in 1859.
