The Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal was introduced in 1995. It is awarded for excellent volunteer service or extraordinary community involvement. The recipient may use the post-nominals SVM.

The medal is composed of silver. The obverse depicts the Coat of Arms of Saskatchewan with St. Edward’s Crown. The inscription above the shield reads NOS IPSOS DEDIMUS (We Gave of Ourselves) and SASKATCHEWAN.
