History

This medal was conferred upon members of the Rebel Army, who were members in the "Antonio Maceo" regiment 8, and participated in the invasion from "Las Mercedes" in the Sierra Maestra to the former province of Las Villas in 1958.

The medal was awarded in recognition of outstanding attitude.
