History


This Order is currently awarded by the Cuban government to the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) in recognition of extraordinary merit in carrying out their services to defend Cuba and its territorial integrity.

It is a singular multiple-rayed five-armed plaque in bronze.

The obverse is superimposed by a silvered five-pointed star presenting a silver-gilt central medallion bearing a Cuban Armed Forces emblem. The Award is encircled by an enameled green band inscribed "POR EL SERVICIO A LA PATRIA FAR" ("For Service to the Fatherland")

The reverse engraving a Cuban coat of arms and the inscription "REPUBLICA DE CUBA CONSEJO DE ESTADO" ("Cuban Republic Consul of State").
