History

The Cross for China of Yucatan (Cruz de China de Yucatan) was instituted in Mexico by decree on August 4, 1843. It was awarded to the military personnel, under the command of General Francisco Andrade, who defeated Yucatecan forces commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Manuel Oliver at China, Yucatan, on February 4, 1843.

The Cross features an obverse inscription that translates to "He Defeated in China of Yucatan."
