The Cross for the Defense of Guaymas (Cruz de la Defensa de Guaymas) was authorized in recognition of the Officers who took Raousset and his men prisoner in Guaymas, Sonora in 1854.

The Cross features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "He Fought for the Fatherland."
