The General Ignacio Zaragoza Medal (Medalla del General Ignacio Zaragoza) was authorized in Mexico in recognition of the troops under command of General Ignacio Zaragoza who defeated an invading French army during the Second French Intervention on May 5, 1862.
It is nor clear if the composition of the Medal denotes the rank of the recipient.
