Order of the National Hero, Knight Commander

The Order of the National Hero was instituted in 1998 and is presented to citizens who have performed distinguished service to Saint Kitts and Nevis. It is the highest National honour, while Knight Grand Commander of the Order is the highest grade.
Recipients are entitled to use the post-nominal letters “K.G.N.H.”
Despite seceding in 1983, Saint Kitts and Nevis remains a part of the Commonwealth; therefore Her Majesty the Queen acts as Grand Master of the Order. The National Honours System is overseen by the Governor General, who is responsible for conferring the Medal.
As of 2019, there have a been a total of five inductees.
