The Selective Service Medal, commonly referred to as the "Selective Service World War Two Medal", was established by United States President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, by Public Law on July 2, 1945. The Bronze Medal was created to reward uncompensated personnel of the Selective Service System for voluntary, faithful, and patriotic service at state and local levels. To be eligible for the award of the Medal, the recipient must have provided 2 or more years of service.
