History

The NASA Exceptional Engineering Achievement Medal was instituted on September 15, 1961. The Bronze Medal is awarded to government and non-government NASA employees in recognition of individual efforts in engineering which greatly contribute towards the fulfilment of aeronautical or space exploration goals. Qualifying service may include significant accomplishments that surpass normal duties in quality, scope, and impact; such as the design, development, and application of tools and systems, or significant process improvements.
