This decoration was issued in the region of Hebei during the War Lords Era (1912-1928).
This very rare two – level award was established in Beijing by the Chinese central government in 1922. It was presented in both gold and gold-plated silver. The 1st Class in red sapphire
and the 2nd Class with blue cabochon.
The reverse features Chinese characters.
