An enameled white eight pointed star in silver gilt, featuring gilded smaller rays between the arms, surmounted by a symbol of the Thunder Cloud and loop suspension, obverse centre with a tied Golden Grain symbol in natural enamels, on an enameled white background, surrounded by a black enamel border with “eyes” displaying the colors of the Republic, reverse with an enameled red background lettering by Chinese characters, loop marked by Chinese maker’s mark.
This Order was instituted by President Yuan Shih Kai. It was conferred upon individuals in recognition of exceptional civil or military meritorious service and achievement.
The reverse features Chinese characters.
