A large silver gilt eight pointed star, each arm composed of a cluster of five individual rays, overlaid with a multiple ray silver star with alternating smooth and faceted rays, obverse centre presenting a red enameled field with seven stars denoting a third class award, with an outer surround with nine thunder clouds in white enamels, reverse with cartouche in Chinese characters stating bronze grade, suspended by thunder cloud and star suspension, on elongated loop with period ribbon.
This Order was conferred upon Japanese Officers and Chinese collaborators in recognition of distinguished service for the Japanese Government following the declaration of war on the United States and Great Britain. It was discontinued in 1945.
This Order is also known as the Order of Common Honour.
The reverse features Chinese characters.
