History

This medal was conferred in commemoration of Henry Pu Yi's accession to the throne.

The obverse Japanese characters read as "Ti Ch'u Hu Chen", which is roughly translated as "Earth-Shaking Imperial Ascension". The reverse Japanese characters translate to "Kang Teh 1st Year / Enthronement Commemorative Medal / 3rd Month 1st Day".
