History

This Order was established by Emperor Kang Teh of Manchuria on the day of his accession to the throne. It is considered the Manchurian equivalent of the Japanese Order of the Chrysanthemum (see JPN100).

The Collar was conferred upon Heads of State and recipients of the Grand Cordon.

The reverse Japanese characters translate to "Grand Merit Decoration".
