History

This medal was conferred upon members of the rightest forces for service in a campaign for political power between Phoumi Nosavan's Royal Forces and General Kong Le's Neutralist Forces. This campaign was from 1960 to 1961 during the Laotian Civil War (1953-1975).

There are 2 versions of this medal, one of Laotian manufacture and one of Thai manufacture.

The reverse features Lao script.
