Physical Description


A six-pointed star, with ornamental detailing between the rays, the obverse is of red enamel, the reverse is plain, on a yellow, green, white and red striped ribbon.

History


This medal was conferred upon military personnel who were killed or wounded in combat. It was often awarded to members of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It was only awarded to foreign military personnel if the individual was under the command of a Vietnamese unit. It is no longer awarded.

This medal was locally manufactured.
