History

This medal is conferred in recognition of acts of gallantry while maintaining law and order.

It is awarded to military and emergency service personnel, civilians, senior and enlisted members of interior bodies, and members of financial investigation bodies of the State Control Committee.

The reverse Cyrillic inscription translates to "For Excellence in the Maintenance of Public Order".
