History


This medal was founded by the Presidium of the National Assembly and it was conferred upon members of the Bulgarian People’s Army in recognition of a minimum of 10 years of service, and for contributions to the strengthening of the Army’s combat efficiency.

Recipients of the medal were restricted to Generals, Sergeants, and Officers.

The medal was designed by Raycho Peev, and it was discontinued in 1991.
