This medal was instituted in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Ferdinand I’s reign.

It was personally conferred by Ferdinand I upon high ranking royal servants, government officials, and military personnel involved in his Jubilee festivities.

The medal was designed and signed by Rudolf Marshall, and it was produced in Vienna.

The obverse inscription translates to “Ferdinand I, Tsar of the Bulgarians.”

The reverse inscription translates to “In Commemoration of the Glorious Twenty-Fifth Year of Reign, 1887-1912.”
