Medal for Service to the Homeland (1960-1989)

This medal was conferred upon national citizens to reward service that has significantly increased military readiness, training, security, and technology.
It was also awarded for brave actions within military actions that led to the successful end of the mission.
The medal has two main version.
The medals issued first were awarded from 1955-1960, and they feature the coat of arms of the Czechoslovak Republic on the obverse.
The medals issued second were awarded from 1960-1989, and the feature the coat of arms of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic on the obverse with the inscription "ČSSR."
