History


This medal is a continuation of the Military Merit Medal instituted during the Czechoslovak Republic (1918-1948).

It was conferred upon Military personnel within the Czechoslovak and Allied Armed Forces in recognition of meritorious service during the liberation efforts against the Germans in World War II.

The Silver Medals awarded from 1945-1948 were manufactured in Paris and are composed of Silvered materials.
