In silver with dark red enamels, hallmarked with a goat's head beside a "2" (925 silver), marked "925" (silver), mint maker marked "MK" (Mincovna Kremnica) and numbered "6286" on the reverse, measuring 45 mm (w) x 49.2 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring suspension, original ribbon with pinback, intact enamels, very light contact, near extremely fine.
This Order was awarded in recognition of exceptional merit and achievements in the field of economics, social services, political services, and culture.
It was also awarded for increasing the Military strength and defensive capabilities of Czechoslovakia.
There are two main versions of the Order.
The stars issued from 1951-1960 feature the reverse inscription "ČSR."
The stars issued from 1960-1989 feature the reverse inscription "ČSSR."
The reverse medallion is numbered.
It was discontinued in 1990.
