The Order was awarded upon retirement to individuals who had rendered outstanding service within agriculture, manufacturing, and other production fields.
There are two main versions of the Order.
The medals awarded from 1955-1960 feature a rearing lion wearing a crown on the reverse.
The medals awarded from 1960-1989 feature the rearing lion from the 1960 Czechoslovak coat of arms on the reverse.
The reverse of the medal's suspension is numbered.
