Czechoslovakia, Order of Charles IV, First Grade breast star, by Opilz, in silver-gilt and enamels, 78mm extremely fine and rare.
This Order was conferred upon members of the Czech National Guard in recognition of long service and merit.
The Order grades were awarded in two divisions, the Military Division and the Civil Division.
The Military Division awards feature crossed swords in the surmounting ring suspension, while the Civil Division awards do not feature crossed swords in the surmounting ring suspension.
The I Class Breast Star has the same form in both divisions.
