History

The Order of Allegiance to the Homeland is conferred upon Moldovan citizens in recognition of outstanding military and security service, combat preparedness, and the successful command of troops. It is also awarded for the operation and maintenance of new technology, gallantry, devotion to duty, and contributions to strengthening international relationships involving defence, public order, and security.

Recipients of the II Class Breast Star must also have at least 10 years of service in the Armed Forces, although this requirement may be waived under exceptional circumstances.

The II Class Breast Star features an obverse inscription that translates to "Allegiance to the Homeland."
