History

The Order of Gratitude of the Homeland is conferred upon Moldovan mothers in recognition of raising at least 5 children, including adopted children and children who died during military service or from injuries or illness incurred as a result of military service or workplace injury. It is awarded when the youngest child turns 16 years old.

The Decoration features an obverse inscription that translates to "Recognition of the Homeland."
