History


The Decoration for Merit to the Chemical Industry was established by the Council of Ministers in 1977. It was awarded by the Minister of Chemical Industry to Polish citizens employed in the chemical industry in recognition of long and faithful service. It was discontinued following the collapse of the communist regime in 1989.

The I Class Decoration features a reverse inscription that translates to "For Merit to the Chemical Industry."
