History

The Decoration for Merit to the Machine Industry was established by the Polish People's Republic in 1974. It was awarded by the Ministry of Machine Industry awarded to employees in the Polish machine industry for long and meritorious service. It was discontinued following the collapse of the communist regime in 1989.

The II Class Decoration features a reverse inscription translates to "For Merit to the Development of the Machine Industry."
