History


The Decoration for Honorary Blood Donors-Meritorious to National Health was established by the Republic of Poland in 1997 but was not awarded until 2006. It is awarded by the Minister of Health to Polish citizens in recognition of blood donation of at least 20 litres.

The Silver Medal features a reverse inscription that can be translated to "Honourary Blood Donor, Merit for the Health of the Nation."
