History


The Decoration for Meritorious Sea Workers was established by the Council of Ministers in 1997 as a replacement for the Decoration for Meritorious Sea Workers awarded in the Polish People’s Republic. It is awarded by the Minister of Transport, Construction and Marine Economy to Polish maritime workers or employees in marine administration in recognition of meritorious service.

The Silver Decoration features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "Meritorious Sea Worker."
