History

The Decoration of Honour for Legislation was established by the Council of Ministers in 2015. It is currently awarded by the Prime Minister to Polish citizens in recognition of meritorious service rendered in legislative bodies, including research and education.

The Silver Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "For Merit to Legislation," and a reverse inscription that can be translated to "All Must Understand the Law." The reverse features additional initials that stand for "Rzeczpospolita Polska" (Republic of Poland).
