History


The Decoration of Honour in the Name of Stefan Roweckiego "Grotto" was established by the Council of Ministers in 2011. It is named in honour of Stefan Rowecki, leader of the Home Army ("Armia Krajowa"). It is currently awarded by the Internal Security Agency to members of the Internal Security Agency in recognition of meritorious service including acts of courage, extreme devotion to duty, and contributions to international relationships. It may also be awarded posthumously.
