Insignia in silver gilt with red, white, blue and yellow enamels, mounted to a five-pointed silver star base, gilt on the wheat sheafing in the voided areas on each star point, hallmarked with an ear of wheat and sickle (silver fineness) and maker marked "MS" on the reverse, measuring 68x64.5mm, horizontal pinback, intact enamels, accompanied by its 24x11mm ribbon bar with its 10.2 mm silver with red and white enamelled miniature affixed.
The Order of the Victory of Socialism was conferred upon Romanian citizens in recognition of exceptional contributions to socialism in Romania. It was also conferred upon all recipients of the Title of the Hero of the Romanian Socialist Republic, but it was permanently suppressed following the collapse of the Socialist Republic in 1989.
Members of the Order were granted a monetary award of 3500 lei (875 USD) and were entitled to five additional days of paid leave.
