Physical Description and Item Details


Marked "БЈ 1903" and "engraver marked "J. CHRISTLBAUER" on the obverse, measuring 35mm in diameter, very light contact, original triangular ribbon with hook and eye, near extremely fine.

History


The Commemorative Medal for the Election of King Peter I was instituted on August 2, 1903. This medal was awarded to members of the household, national assembly and army officers (who where on active duty) to "commemorate the the start of King Petar I reign". At a later date the medal was awarded to all reserve officers.
