This Cross was conferred upon members of the Italian African Police Force to recognize long and faithful service. The Gold Cross was awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers for 25 years of service.

There are two main models of this Cross, and they are differentiated by the style of the eagle on the obverse medallion. The first model features an eagle with the seal of Savoy enamelled on its chest.The second model features an eagle without the seal of Savoy on its chest.
