"c. 1856. Silver, engraver marked ""G. FERBARIS"" on the obverse, impressed ""CAPt USLENGHI PIETRO 4° REGo"" on the edge, inverted, the lettering in black, 36mm, original ribbon, lacquered, bruised, edge nicks, contact marks, very fine.

History


The Medal was instituted by Victor Emmanuel II to commemorate the Crimea War and to reward all Sardinian participants of the war who had rendered active service between 1855-1856, but not received the Queen Victoria Crimea War Medal.
