A cross with pointed arm ends in red enamel, with a white enamel Geneva cross, with a laurel wreath in the quadrants between the arms with a white enamel banner with an inscription.

History


The Volunteers of Freedom Cross was awarded to the forces within the citizen militia, or volunteers of freedom, in recognition of meritorious performance between September 29, 1869-January 29, 1870.
