A cross with laurel detailing in the quadrants between the arms, the cross arms are of green enamel with a white enamel border, the obverse center bears a gilt image with a light blue enamel sky, encompassed by a white enamel border inscribed with PAZ PAZ SEMPRE PAZ SOMATENES ARMADOS DE ESPANA, the reverse center bears the inscription CONSTANCIA PATRIOTISMO ABNEGACION on a green enamel background, topped with a royal crown on a purple ribbon.
The Catalonian Somaten Militia Loyalty Medal was created by Royal Decree on February 6, 1918 in recognition of twenty years of service in the Somaten of Catalonia.
The ribbon may be decorated with a clasp reading, "CONSTANCIA".
