History


The Medal for Villar de Ciervos was authorized in Spain by King Ferdinand VII on October 16, 1823. It was conferred upon 27 royalists men who attacked a group of 42 constitutional men in Villar de Ciervos on August 27, 1823.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "To the Brave Defenders of their King Ferdinand VII," and a reverse inscription that translates to "Royalists from Villar de Ciervos, Year 1823."
