The Cross for Castilla la Vieja (Old Castile) was instituted in Spain by the regency of Espartero in recognition of the members of the National Militia of Castilla la Vieja who participated in the repression of the uprising in November 1841.
The Cross features a reverse inscription that translates "To the Loyal Troops of Castilla la Vieja in November, 1841."
