History


This medal was awarded by the president to personnel of the XV Olympic games for "distinguished services during the games". The 1st Class Cross was awarded to personnel in a leadership position.

283 of the 1st Class Crosses were awarded.

The Obverse shows a white five-armed cross with the Finnish Lion and the Olympic rings in the middle. On the Reverse is the year 1952.
